Midnight Poetry Session

#1 Night Noise – 5 Line Lyrical Form

The lantern howls

Night has summoned its ghostly glare

Full moon does not hide the silhouette

Nor does it stare

Eyes open are the cat and the owl

#2 Elevator Drink – 5 Line Lyrical Form

You could go up

Its not much fun

Makes you feel heavy

Stops like a gun

Don’t spill your cup

#3 If we eat Meat – 7 Line Lyrical Form

I would eat meat if you asked me to eat it

Smells excite the bland look

Taste the excellence of meat

Feeds me to my whole

Tender and sweet

I would gladly if you cook

Cleaning after I would submit

#4 Chair of Potato - 5 Line Lyrical Form

Sit on the sack

Entertain the mind

Loss of wit

Leave it behind

Allow no set-back

#5 Have no recourse – 7 Line Lyrical Form

Spin the world in your mind

Make the right seem like wrongs

Hold all grudges

Let sanity slide

Be seven judges

Law resides over the throngs

Leave it all behind

Poem of the Ages

Time is not ageless
It holds not the secrets of the world
Metaphors and mathematics at dawn
Hold not true to the wandering eyes
The morning light that is almost gone
A new day begins to unfurl
Time is endless

Nevernight

It is never dark where I live

Lights bring when darkness calls

What would people do with no light in the sky

Drive quickly to the malls

Where the light will never give
